Explore Fort Lauderdale: Things To Do Near Port Everglades Before or After Your Cruise

Sunday 19 August 2018

#Bulosan2k18

Our ship embarked from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but before my family and I sailed away, we left “cushion-time” between our flight arrival time and the ship boarding time so we could explore the “Venice of America” before we get on our ship. I’m glad we stayed for two full days before the cruise because it was just enough time to visit some major places in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.

What to Wear to a Fancy Cruise Dinner

Wednesday 08 February 2017

Outfit of the Night: Black Dress from Forever 21, Heels from Guess, Earrings from Francesca’s.

It’s common for cruises to have an elegant evening where you can dress up, have fancy drinks, and celebrate. Celebrations can include anything from the Captain’s Welcome Dinner – which is what we are dressed up for in this blog – to holiday celebrations to themed nights to farewell events. Generally if you are taking a 2 to 5-day cruise, you can expect at least one nice evening to get primmed and proper. If you take a cruise that is six days or longer, expect that be graced with at least two awesome nights of playing dress up.

First Day at Sea with Princess Cruises

Monday 06 February 2017

Because I was a cruise-noob (aka “a first timer on a cruise”), I was amazed by every little thing I saw. There are so many pools, jacuzzis, and kiddie pools. The unlimited amount of food was to die for. They had tea time! Right after breakfast, about ten activities are happening at once in different parts of the ship. It was a lot to take in, but my absolute favorite part of the first day was the view. If Moana were out last year, I would have thought of the “How Far I’ll Go” song as I looked at the line where the sky meets the sea… it calls me and no one knows how far it goes 🎶

Bon Voyage!

Sunday 05 February 2017

It’s crazy to think that this cruise happened a year ago. I know, I know… I am super late and long overdue with these travel blogs, but I think now would be the best time to share these with you since I just launched this lifestyle and travel-focused blog. Plus, it wouldn’t hurt to share these photos and videos that are stored away in my external hard drive and let it collect (virtual) dust. Right? So, here’s a snippet of my journal entry while I was onboard the ship, some photos, and a vlog of my experience from the day I went on a cruise ship for my first time ever.

I Grew a Mermaid Tail in the Western Caribbean

Saturday 04 February 2017

I love the way water bends what we see. In this case, the water creates an illusion that I grew a mermaid tail, and any existence of my stomach is close to none 😅 Every time I come back to these photos in the jacuzzi – when Shannon and I went swimming in less than 40℉ – I laugh out loud. We explored the cruise ship in awe like little kids in a ginormous playground. Our first activity: swimming.
