You’d expect that I’d see Filipino on-screen here in the states, with us supposedly being a melting pot of cultures, right? Wrong. I Used To Hate Being Filipino

For the first time in forever I was completely candid about my experience with judgmental af people, why “On the Wings of Love” is heaven sent, and the era in my life when I legitimately hated being Filipina. Keep in mind I no longer resent my culture because now that I’m older, I realized that I actually just resent the arrogant people who made little Rachel feel like sh*t. Internalized Racism is REAL everyone. On the bright side, I’m here to make matters better and spread love and light, and maybe a good laugh.
