About Rachel

Hi there!

Hometown: SoCal + Hawai’i
Age: 20-something
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn
Relationship Status: Married
Current Location: San Diego, California
Ethnicity: Full-Filipino
Nationality: American

I am a Filipino-American lifestyle and travel blogger from California. Most of my photos are taken by my husby, Mark. And I enjoy midday naps, comfy pajamas, and a good cup of iced tea with fluffy croissants.

When I’m not blogging, I can be found running my business as a content creator, technical writer, marketing consultant, copyeditor, and photographer. Since 2006, I’ve practiced my craft of creating content with a variety of clients — ranging from corporate brands to family businesses to individuals and startups to recognizable nonprofit organizations. I live and learn in Southern California. I used to live ten minutes away from Disneyland (and sadly, now I don’t), but the Disney annual pass in my wallet makes up for it. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English: Rhetoric and Composition in 2015, and now I’m schoolin’ life (or at least trying to).

Study and live in all forms of culture.

Learning runs through my blood and soul, so it’s only natural that this little blog (with a collection of all the things I’ve learned over the years) grow into the hub that it is today. I explore and learn about different cultures — not just ethnic cultures, but also the culture of freelancing, fandoms, blogging, feng shui, wholistic living and wellness, millenial challenges, technology, and more. I write about my experiences, and then I share what I’ve come across. I created my personal motto, to “study and live in all forms of culture” in 2010 during my first college English class. It was at that time that I was also inspired by my English professor to be an English Major. (yup! lots of English, writing, and reading.) Welcome to my blog filled with nothing but ideas, culture, and stories for the soul.
