Nothing like a good kick in the face to remind you about how precious health is. Hello allergies, we meet again.
Allergies, Allergies Go Away
It’s that time of year when the seasons change and my immune system has a mind of its own.
My allergies currently feature a runny nose, congestion, a little headache right smack in the middle of my forehead, and watery eyes. The works…
It is always during the transition between seasons when my allergies come around.
I hate it.
Healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit
I’ve said this many times before, but I’ll say it again: a healthy, mind, body, and spirit is so important.
It really is.
Healthy Tip: Be aware. Be aware of how your body is reacting to certain experiences and situations. If you are sleepier in the morning even with the same amount of hours as any other night, your mind might be over-exerting itself from stress in another area of life. If you are (like me) suddenly getting allergies, be extra cautious about your diet, your stress level, your sleep, and your water intake. Eat less salty foods, stay away from anyone or anything that causes stress (or at least try to), and drink lots of water.
Be aware of how your body is reacting to certain experiences and situations.
There’s something about seasons allergies that keep me humble and thoughtful about my peace within and my peace (or lack thereof) in my surroundings.
I hope these allergies go away soon.
Always look at the brightside
On a happier note, my allergies weren’t kicking in earlier and Mark and I were productive this morning to afternoon.
We finally went to our new dentist. Previously, Mark and I went to two separate dentist offices in Cerritos and Fullerton, but now that we’re married, on the same health insurance, and living in San Diego, we decided it was time to find a new “dental home” together.
After the dentist, Shadow went to the groomers to get a haircut and wash. Shadow loves it at our local groomer. It’s a family-owned business and the customer service and care they give to my fur baby is nothing short of perfect.
While Shadow was at the groomers, I had therapeutic alone time at Michael’s craft store. I was on a mission to buy a frame for the drawing I received from @delesign and for the custom-made Mayan hieroglyphs of mine and Mark’s wedding date. I found frames and they’re neatly tucked away in their frame-homes, but now I want to re-arrange the apartment to set up a new filming corner and a living room gallery wall. I’ll keep you updated on this blog about how this HGTV-project goes.
I fit in time to walk around Goodwill and I found a cute heather-gray top and a gorgeous yellow (“my yellow”) jean pants from Zara.
Shadow and I picked up lunch and ate banh mi (a Vietnamese sandwich) with Vietnamese chicken curry. And of course, we got some green tea and black tea for myself and Mark.
It was a good Friday off 🙂
And now, I’m going through a mini-allergy attack.
But all in all… a good day. haha
How’s your Friday? Are you excited for fall? What are you dressing up as for Halloween?
love and light,
